Ryba, Maria T., 87, of Northfield, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. She was born on March 21, 1931 in Zglobien, Poland to Stanislaw Kies and Stefania (Kosciak) Kies. Maria comes from a family of five that survived WWII, with many family members still living in Poland. Maria married the love of her life, Boleslaw in 1956 and raised three children in Poland. To provide a better life for their family, they moved to America in 1980 and settled in Northfield in 1986. Maria was a dedicated and hard worker who cooked for several priests in Longport and Margate. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Maria enjoyed singing, dancing and being surrounded by family and friends. Maria is especially known for her baranki at Easter and paczki, a special treat that all of her children and grandchildren enjoyed and will always remember. Maria is predeceased by her parents, her husband Boleslaw, and brothers Ludwik, Alexander and Jan. She is survived by her children, Anna (Jan), Bozena ( Wojciech), Piotr (Yris); grandchildren, Jagoda (Brian), Anka (Ron), Kat (Paolo), Tom (Kira), Przemek (Nicole), Martin (Shelby), Matt (Mia) and Julia; great grandchildren, Angelina, Gianna, Leila, Gavin, Brian, Bella, Mia, Sofia, Jaxson, Mason, Colt and Emma; her sister, Stanislawa, along with many relatives in Poland. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Maria’s life on Saturday, March 9, 2019 with a gathering of friends and family from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM and a Mass to follow at 11:00 AM at Epiphany Church, 2801 Ventnor Avenue, Longport, NJ.
